I don't believe the story that cells get broken if you shake them. 
Doctors have blood centrifuged etc. to separate the different 
fractions from each other before performing some tests. So the cells 
must be in some kind of reasonable state after being centrifuged.
I do believe it is unwise to really shake expressed milk because it 
gets air into the milk, which may cause gas in the baby, though.
