I have a mom who's MD told her to use Genetian Violet to treat thrush as
she does not wish to use nystatin. Does anyone have a protocol for this?
A great one was posted for thrush over the weekend but it seems to be for
nystatin use. Isn't GV used for a shorter period of time? I did refer the
mother to her MD but she asked me to check my resources.

Part 2 to this question is this: FATHER has been diagnosed with oral
thrush. 15 mo. old baby has the white patches and sores in the mouth. Mom
is without symptoms. She would prefer not to treat herself if not
necessary. I told her I thought she would need to treat herself and
complete the whole protocol even if she is w/out symptoms. She is
wondering if the DAD gave it to the baby and therefore she is off the hook.
 Wishful thinking, I think.

Thank You in Advance,
