I have followed the LLLI congress through the LLLI webpage (San Francisco is too far from Madrid - moneywise), and I have some thoughts on it.
I have to say that I am moved by what women can create (well, yes, and some men). A world class congress with scientific, serious research
papers that any other scientific congress might envy - but wrapped in a show of beautiful humanity. To be humane is to be open to every aspect
of human life. What other congress have I ever seen where children are not only welcomed, but nurtured and cherished as a natural part of the
adultsībeing there? None. The creativity that springs from this womanly humanity is astonishing, and can be seen in all the non-scientific
activities offered in the congress. Work and life so well balanced! Proves they donīt have to exclude each other. WOmen can do serious,
ground-shaking and world-changing research without giving up on being true to themselves.
I am touched to have been able to get a glimpse.
And it makes me wonder... if women so true could run the world, how different would it be???
