Several years ago there was a Norwegian film based on a folktale from the time of the Plague (14th century).  I don't think it was ever released outside of Scandinavia (funny thing) but there was a scene in which one of the characters had become snow-blind and a breastfeeding mother was summoned to administer milk to her/his (can't remember!) eyes.  There was a very close shot of hand expression directly into the affected eye which would have done any BF educator proud.
