I hope you won't mind a brief personal note - but I can't resist the urge to
share.
My new nursling, Caroline Rose Tieman made her appearance Sat. 5/31/03 at
11:46 pm on her due date, making her a May baby by 14 minutes! She was 8
lbs and 15 oz, 1 1/4# bigger than my next biggest baby! (She looks
absolutely huge to me wearing her older sister's dresses. Sister was just 6
lbs. 15 oz at birth.)
She is nursing well, and I'm trying hard to keep her latching perfectly, as
I've always had trouble with sore nipples in the beginning and do a little
bit now as well. My milk is coming in already -- when she started nursing
at her last feeding her eyes suddenly flew open and she looked so startled
at the increased milk there! I forgot how much personality even a very tiny
baby has and am deeply in love already.
Now back to more appropriate Lactnet topics!
