Childbirth Graphics has a neat little book called "Breastfeeding Terms,
Techniques, Problem Solving: Illustrated Multi-Language Pocket Glossary,"
developed by Jamie Eloise Bolane (1994). It's coil-bound, contains diagrams,
words, for example, Breast/Nipple/Areola, with the terminology for these
listed in Spanish, French, Creole, Vietnamese, Hmong, Japanese and Chinese.
Other pages include phrases for "Getting Enough? 5-6 wet diapers in 24
hours," "Good position is important," "Relief for swollen breast
(engorgement)," etc. The author suggests you may just need to point to the
words (presuming you have a literate client), especially for the oriental
languages, although there are phonetic pronounciations).

Haven't had the opportunity to use it, and can't vouch for the quality of
translation (not sure, for example, whether my Canadian francophone clients
would understand what is likely the Parisien French in here--I'm going to
ask a couple to read it over for me now I'm reminded about the book), but
appreciate knowing it's in my book shelf. In a larger centre you'd likely
have more opportunities to use it. (Now there's a garbled sentence if ever I
saw one!).
