what is your opinion on how to deal with Code-violators? Do you think it is
worthwile to boycot them? How to deal with violators that buy previously
Code-compliant 
companies?

Please! 

So, we have a previously compliant company, purchased by a non-compliant
company:  what do we do?  Stop buying and recommending those products?
What about the company who was non-compliant but it now taking steps to be
compliant?
