I was reading this week's Newsweek magazine last night and saw that among
the Hilary Clinton's New Year's Resolutions (in "Periscope"-the rest of
the news is too depressing to dwell on) is a plan for a White House
conference on the brain, stressing the importance of early childhood
nurturing and nutrition.  Anyone with White House connections out there?
I would suggest Ruth Lawrence, Lawrence Gartner and our own Kathryn
Dettwyler as participants just off the top of my head.  Anyone know the
Email address of the White House?  I remember seeing it somewhere during
the long campaign last year.  This could be a great opportunity to bring
the benefits of breastfeeding to national/international attention.
