i didn't see the original post, but i have a query regarding the above
statement, cathy. I know this is the common wisdom, and i dole it out
myself, and yet, i am starting to doubt it, based on recent, frequent
experience. i have had several moms recently for whom gentian violet,
APNO, GSE, tincture of myrrh, nystatin, and lotrimin, didn't work, and for
whom even diflucan didn't work at the 200 mg STAT / 100 mg/day for 14
days. BUT, when they switched to the higher end of the range at 400 mg
STAT/100 MG BID, they experienced almost immediate relief (a few
days.) has anyone else been seeing this? how important are the
hygiene/cross contamination protocols for yeast when moms are on
diflucan? do you still suggest paper towels, boiling bras and artificial
nipples, etc?

i am feeling very frustrated by the yeast info out there and the difficulty
with reconciling the data with what i am observing.
thanks in advance for input from anyone who has thoughts on this.
