As the course is a short one, I would not imagine it would cause any
serious problems for the baby at all (even candiasis seems unlikely to
me with such a short-term dose). The problems the pharmacist mentioned
are pretty irrational, IMHO. ABM is probably more likely to trigger
allergies than antibiotics, even if they did absorb into the breastmilk
(and I believe that antibiotic reactions are different to food
reactions), the kind of diarrhoea you get with antibiotics is not
infective and unlikely to be a real risk to the baby's health and you
know better than me about the dangers of temporary weaning. BTW, I am
not a doctor (just a sickly person with some medical training, who's had
a lot of antibiotics in my life), but I think you've already had your
answer from the pharmacist. It is his interpretation I disagree with.

IMHO, the pharmacist is suggesting this mother potentially trigger
lifelong allergies (by giving ABM) to avoid thrush or temporary
diarrhoea.
