<The greenish color of a discharge may be related to allergies. >

The breakdown product of hemoglobin is heme (sp??) which is green. (remember the green phase when a bad bruise heals?) Perhaps there might be a non-malignant papilloma-type feature in one of the ducts casting off some red cells???

Perhaps the expression started the same process that adoptive mothers who have never been pregnant have experienced when they begin to stimulate a supply??

Each new placenta causes new TDLU (terminal ductal lobular unit) to form, much as new leaves in the spring. After weaning the "leaves" begin to fall and (alveoli) disappear during involution, disappearing on microscopic examination, and each new placenta makes "new leaves" (new alveoli) begin to grow. So, during this pregnancy her TDLU are advancing to a stage they are now reaching for the first time. The placenta is there now, where none was driving any changes in the things that happened before.

I hope I remembered this more or less right!
