 Deann,
This whole thing is out of control. First, it is likely that no dietary changes have helped, bc she has made all the wrong ones. I have yet to meet an allopathic physician who does not practice integrative medicine who would give appropriate recommendations. Further, I agree that she is likely malnourished and this should be of primary importance. She needs to eliminate all grains and all animal milks first. If she can access a health care provider who does useful allergy testing, she can identify further triggers. She certainly does not need an endoscopy or biopsy--who cares if she gets an "official" assessment for celiac, for example. Gluten needs to be eliminated and if she feels better that is assessment enough. Besides, having a diagnosis is ridiculous, really, bc many, many people sensitive (even severely so) to grains will have a negative biopsy.

Gut healing does not mean simply removing foods. The person needs to heal the damage as well nourishing the body. And removing offending foods often makes people feel worse at first, partly bc they tend to very addicted to those foods.

It would be tragic for a mother who wants 6 children (she cannot safely have 6 cesareans!!) to be cajoled into a surgical birth simply bc she has not found anyone competent enough to help her solve her gut problems. How in the world is healing from a cesarean--which is then a given, more of a risk form healing from a 4th degree tear, whicc is far from a given?
