My younger daughter and her extended family have been sharing a bug that's
been going around in the past couple of weeks - - fever, vomiting, and
diarrhea for two to 5 days. Yesterday my daughter called to share her
daughter Yazmin's explanation of the care she was giving to her tiny plastic
Hello Kitty creature that fits in the palm of her hand, following her
observations of her little 2 y/o sister and her 2 y/o cousin who had been ill as
mentioned above.

Yazmin, who will be 5 years old in two weeks, said to her mother, "Hello Kitty
has been throwing up on the walls and on the ceiling and all over the place.
I'm going to nurse Hello Kitty to make her feel better. Except when she's
sick, my milk turns into medicine." I carefully wrote this down word-for-word.

Of course all my grandchildren are precious and have their own interests that I
will happy to share off-line with anyone who cares to engage in a swap-fest of
grandbaby stories. Yazmin enjoys sitting down to read anatomy texts with her
father, who is a personal trainer and fitness guy. She's been nursing her
stuffed cat, Boo Boo Kitty, for at least two years now, holding her head high
and looking very proud while doing so, but only nurses her stuffed and/or
plastic animals - - isn't into dolls. Very nurturing sort of child.
