There is no definite age when a baby must start solids. However, some
babies who don't start by 8 or 9 months seem to lose all interest and refuse
solids completely. I would not panic yet, but I would put food in front of
him. Not special food, but mother's or father's food. Let him play with it,
put it into his mouth, maybe even eat some. No pressure, which will likely
only make things worse.
