How about my favorite, normal saline soaks to the site, plus Dr. Jack's
APNO.  Sounds to me more like a superficial infection than a deep (abcess
type) infection.  Another possibility would be to do an ultra sound and see
if there is any pocket of infection below the site.  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
