Well I forget who posted about the woman who was mad that someone else nursed
her child, but I can see her point. Even though I do have a big family history
of cross nursing (my grandmother and her older daughters nursed each other
children during baby sitting - my mother and her closest in age sisters were
nursed by their older sisters, also a cousin who when learning that I am a LLLL
told me that she had a league friend they they cross-nursed, it only worked by
nursing the babies back to sleep in a dark room) this mother did not leave her
baby in a situation to be cross nursed. Where in my family history the mother
was leaving her baby knowing that the other would nurse the baby, and knew her
well (or was related to her) this mother did not do that. She left her baby
with a friend (not sure but sounded like a non-lactating friend) and someone
this friend knew decided to nurse her baby. Not the way cross nursing is
supposed to work IMHO.
