Saw a mother in clinic on Wednesday who has Multiple Sclerosis (Am sending
info on MS and bf.) and also arthritis in her spine. She hopes to breastfeed
but needs information on salsalate and breastfeeding (Yes, she is taking it
while pregnant.) She stated this is the only anti-inflammatory she can take
because it's what she can afford: all the others are too expensive in the
doses that she takes. I know that the chief metabolite is salicylic acid,
but it would help to be able to share info with the specific drug name. It
isn't in Hale's 97 edition and I don't have the 98, yet. Does anyone have
information on salsalate and breastfeeding? Thanks in advance.
