Hi All!

My name is Wendy L. Reddy and I recently joined Lactnet, but failed to
introduce myself "properly". I've had so much fun just reading all your
e-mail, and it goes without saying that I'm learning oodles and oodles! My
hat's off to Kathleen Bruce and Kathleen Auerbach, thank you for
conceptualizing and creating such a lovely networking service!
I have one daughter who's 3 and one on the way (I'm due in July). I recently
completed Breastfeeding Support Consultant's Lactation Consultant Course. I
have been a Volunteer Breastfeeding Consultant for two years now at a local
community hospital (with follow-up), and last year formed "Nursing Mothers of
Niagara" - A Mother's Resource Group for BF Info & Support which targets the
many low-income mothers that I frequently come into contact with. I have
been a pump rental depot for two years as well, and also have recently added
some private consulting work to my business. I attend conferences regularly,
am a stout self-directed learner/reader and enjoy my work immensely.

Two years ago I also started a "Breastfeeding Questionnaire" at a local
OB/GYN office to target moms in the prenatal period in order to offer them a
"full circle of BF care" - I see them prenatally, at the hospital at birth
and in the postpartum I do regular and consistent follow-up.
