Based on my sample size of 2, I shook after both of them. No
medications, no epidural, both vaginal births. Both fairly fast labours
of 6 hours total with the first and about 1 1/2 total with the second. I
laboured and birthed in a semi-reclining position. I would be very
interested in knowing what physiologic process caused the intense
shaking in just my legs as soon as the babies were born And yes, the
nurse had a nice warm blanket at the ready, which helped immensely.

The only time I noticed anything like it was when I played hockey and
would go on for a shift, skate like heck and then get a break for a few
minutes, to repeat this cycle for the whole game. Hmmmm, this is
starting to sound like labour.
