Just wanted to share a success story!  Had a 20-ish married couple in my
prenatal classes,very friendly lots of ???,  mom got Pregnancy Induced
Hypertension,  hospitalized several times,  I visited while seeing other bfdg
moms,  Early on, I asked if they were going to bfdg, I believe after they
inquired about my cloth diaper use due to cost...formula costs lots...well
she didn't know, she might try it.  So since I had established a relationship
I launched into benefits of bfdg/risks costs of formula etc.  Mom unable to
attend bfdg class of mine because she was in hosp for PIH.  Evenually was
induced, cytotec x 4 days, Pitocin, epidural, hours of pushing, eventually
Csection!  Mom felt lousy so formula fed with bottle first 36 hours...BUT dad
did call me about 12 hours after birth wanting me to visit and help with this
"bfdg thing"  Visited with mom, gave lots of encouragement, told to minimize
formula, enc bfdg.  Saw mom at 36 hours, baby latched great no help
needed-Smart kid!  Was going to follow up on day 3 of life prior to dc but
they went home first!  Well in my car at the stop light, guess who is right
there,  They hurriedly role down window to say  "shes doing great, gone to
the breast every time!!"  YIPEEEEE  I will see them this week for a one week
follow up.
