Congratulations "Janet Kercher, RN IBCLC."
I know that sounds & feels good! Having one of your IBCLC's in administration
is a great help! She can help rewrite the policies, get them approved and
reinforce the information with the staff. Be glad that she is in that
position.

I also agree with Phyllis:
"Get Linda Smith's book on teaching techniques. Dozens of quick & easy fun
things to well-planned serious education to drive home your point."
The title is Coach’s Notebook: Games for Lactation Education. Her web site
is: http://www.bflrc.com/

I think that you could probably find this in the archives. I think that we
may have been talking about it in relation to world breastfeeding week.

Another fun thing to do is to get all the discharge gift packs & printed info
& have the class go thru them & come up with a list of what may interfere
with breastfeeding or mom's confidence. Maybe divide the larger group into a
couple of smaller groups & see who can come up with the biggest list in a
given period of time.

Have fun! I know what a challenge this will be, but little-by-little things
will change.
