Anna,
First of all, it is now known that *extra* calcium is not required (over
normal amounts needed) when breastfeeding (Prentice A 1997. N Eng J Med
337(8):558-559)

Having said this, the mum still needs the 'normal' amount of calcium. One
source I have has the following that may be of use:

Amount of Ca in 100 ml of different milks: Breastmilk 34 mg, soy milk 60
mg, cow's milk 130 mg, cow's milk formula 55 mg. Soy milk recommended if
allowed.

Other sources (amts in mg):
60 g sardines (8 medium) - 276
30 g black treacle - 120
40 g dried figs (2) - 112
15 g almonds (10) - 37
20 g brazil nuts (5) - 186
120 g rhubarb, raw - 108
100 g canned salmon - 90
100 g broccoli, cooked (2/3 cup) - 80
60 g spinach, cooked (1/2 cup) - 60
80 g turnip (2/3 cup) - 48
130 g orange (1 medium) - 40
100 g pumpkin (2/3 cup) - 40
100 g green beans (3/4 cup) - 40
55 g eff (1 medium) - 28
5 g parsley - 17
25 g wholemeal bread (1 slice) - 8
(NB cup measurements are Australian cups ie 250 ml)
