Conversations with mom's mom and reports of grandmother - no woman in this
line has ever been able to breastfeed well - grandmother used wet nurse ( we
talked about how that might not haven meant she did not have enough milk,
could have have been "the thing to do") and that mom's mom's trouble with
pumping and feeding could have been bad ( usual) advice and lousy pump. These
factors may simply make her feel she cannot do this either, even if they were
not related to the real reasons for the problems, or may explain somewhat why
she never had any breast changes in pregnancy or with postpartum time. It may
be that there was something about this pregnany, that the preeclampsia and
the lack of breast changes might be related to the pregnancy itself...who
knows...
