To all Lactnetters,
Jack Newman is coming to the Greater Hartford area to present “The Essentials
of Breastfeeding; Everything you wanted to know about breastfeeding but were
afraid to ask”, on Tuesday, May 22,2001 from 10:30 – Noon at the Farmington
Marriott. Dr. Gerald Calnen, a Pediatrician and ProHealth Physician and
Marsha Walker, RN, IBCLC will join Dr. Newman. This 1-1/2 hour session is
designed for physicians and health care professionals as well as mothers,
families and anyone interested in learning more about lactation. The
workshop is designed to provide a breakout opportunity for physicians and
health careworkers to meet with Dr. Newman and discuss overall management of
the breastfeeding family. Mothers and families will have an opportunity to
meet with Marsha Walker and ProHealthPhysician Lactation Consultants to
discuss practical and specific advise on the art of breast-feeding. Space is
limited for the Lactation Workshop. To reserve a space or for more
information,please contact Maria Pace at ProHealth Physicians, 860-678-5760,
by Tuesday,May 15th. A $5.00 suggested donation will be requested at the
door. All proceeds to benefit Breast Cancer Research.
