If the mother's migraines are reliably pre-menstrual in my experience the
aetiology is very likely food-allergic. This is 95% certain if she has had
recurrent mastitis for no good reason, bruises easily and has other
vascular symptoms. Some of these women improve with vitamin C+bioflavonoid
supplementation, almost all need to avoid the food they are consuming 1)
despite disliking it but "knowing" it is "good for the baby"; or 2)
because they love it and eat it in excess and did so in pregnancy or 3)
despite having hated it as a child but having taken it up in pregnancy as
part of a good diet: usually these mothers had horrible pregnancy nausea as
a cosequence.

Stress triggers disease only where conditions for disease exist.
