I fully agree with this sentiment. I have, too many times, seen LCs cause issues by pointing out a TT, or saying that baby needs to eat more (even when baby is thriving and the dyad is perfectly happy). I do not think we should ever try to "force" a baby onto the breast, this will cause a whole other myriad of problems. If baby is content and gaining...then things are as they should be.

It goes back to the "lips flanged" discussion we recently had. Just because something is supposed to be a certain way doesn't mean is has to be. My middle baby nursed for all of 5 minutes on 1 breast from day 2 on. I had so many people tell me it was enough. At her 2 week appt she was 10 oz over BW. 

Weight is key here and whether or not the baby is content are the two key factors here.
