Hi Everybody
The report of the recent parliamentary inquiry into bf was tabled in our House
of Reps on August 9. In essence it represents a blueprint for implementing
wonderful changes. However all the effort to reach this stage is in danger of
being compromised should the government leave it sitting in the too-hard
basket ie take as long as they wish to respond to the findings of the report.

We also have a federal election looming before the end of the year so it's
unlikely that much 'business' will happen now until the first House of Reps
session in the new year (about the middle of Feb 2008).

My idea is to 'head 'em off at the pass' by (hopefully) having an avalanche of
letters arrive around the first week in February. I have written a smaple letter
that you can print off and sign and send (by then I'll have the name, address
etc of whoever the minister will be).

If you would like to participate please email me, at your leisure, so I can
create an email group to enable the most efficient way to send a pdf of the
letter.

Let's make sure it stays on the agenda! Effective change is worth waiting for.

In the meantime you can view the 22 recommendations & full report at:
