My best info source (Jan Cornfoot in AU) checked with Gabrielle Palmer.  It
is Gabrielle's quote!  1st paragraph in first chapter of  "The Politics of
Breastfeeding."  It was written in 1985 and has been paraphrased or co-opted
by others since.

" ...it was me...  In fact this was the opening line of my outline to
Pandora Press when they asked me to write the book, so I actually recall
composing this in Cornwall on holiday  at Easter in 1985. Pandora liked it
and the rest is history........i t's nice to know people still enjoy that
sentence.  It is still valid. "

I pulled the book Politics of Breastfeeding off the shelf.  Looks like a
