Subject: Verbal Dyspraxia and breastfeeding
Research done years ago in New Zealand by Frances Broad found a link
between clear speech and breastfeeding, especially in males (1). This
effect was seen even for short durations, such as 4-7 weeks. No effect was
observed in girls. This is the reference I could find easily. The citation
is below. I'm sure others on lactnet will have other references.

f course, if these people claim to have studies that associate speech
difficulties with breastfeeding, I would challenge them, very politely, to
produce the studies. I would look closely at study design, numbers and
definitions.
