Dianne,

I have cut and pasted below two excerpts from our Welcome Note/List
Guidelines that are relevant to your question:

***Emails to Lactnet are not monitored, moderated or checked in any way
before appearing on the list. Information in posts is not necessarily
correct. Take what is said on Lactnet as one person's opinion, use critical
reading skills, and check with reliable sources before using any information
provided on Lactnet. The list administrators take no responsibility for
content of Lactnet postings.**

AND

***Posts on LACTNET may not be reproduced or quoted without gaining the
permission of the original poster. This is polite, ethical, and enables you
to credit the originator of the message. We, the co-owners of Lactnet,
expect that all subscribers will honor this.***

So, no, you may not provide mothers of posts from Lactnet without obtaining
the permission of the original author of the post, which you can do by
emailing them directly and asking. Of course, we cannot police this, and we
know that it happens, but we would appreciate it if original authors are
asked prior to the use of their posts. There may be errors they wish to
correct or different wording they would use if they thought their posts
might be used for mothers rather than professionals.

Thanks for checking with us prior! That *is* greatly appreciated.

Kathy

P.S. If anyone has misplaced their copy of the Lactnet guidelines, they can
be obtained by sending the command "get lactnet welcome" to
