So yesterday, I was trudging home in the very hot and humid Maryland
summer.  I had about a mile and a half walk, and it was less than pleasant.
(And less than safe, as there were no sidewalks in the area I was
traversing.)

So out of the blue, an ANGEL (ok, well, a nice lady), stopped and said, "Hey
there, would you like a ride?"  Eternally gratefully, I climbed into the car
and thanked her profusely.  (Please, no lectures on hitchhiking - she looked
super safe, it was daytime, she was female and I was desperately hot.  Just
don't tell my mother.  :) )

So we're talking and she asks me what I do for a living.  "I'm a doula and
lactation educator", I say.

"A doula????  That is so cool!!  I was a La Leche League leader for many
years when my babies were young."

Seriously, people.  It's like we find each other with some sort of secret
signal!!!!  Talk about wonderful divine providence.

Just thought everyone would get a kick out of the story.
