This is, I think, one of the reasons why mother-to-mother support groups 
like La Leche League are so valuable. The new mother doesn't even have to 
ask questions, she can see at the meeting that other mothers are just 
nursing their babies whenever they show signs of being interested, and it 
may be four or five times during a two or three hour meeting. If she does 
ask, she'll get lots of reassurance that other babies are just like hers.
