Any anthropologists doing cross-cultural studies of sleep? My dh is
available for interviews. LOL In the last few days, while our house has
been full, I've been aware of the range of "natural" patterns. And I was
just suggesting to my niece, who is a clinical psychologist (her husband
is an experimental psychologist) that it seems that babies do a lot of
their developmental growth at night -- her one-year-old is now "under
observation" to see if he will stop screaming several times at night
when he learns to walk, and perhaps there will be new studies coming out
of this!I have no doubt that newborns do most of their latch-learning
between 12 p.m. and 5 a.m. :-)
