The woman may have a galactocele. There will be disagreement from
some of y'all out there, but a low dose daily antibiotic may work for
her. I suggested it to one of my friends a few years ago, her MD
prescribed, and it worked. She had multiple mastitis with 2 previous
babies and was dreading the same with her third.
My 2 older kids had multiple, multiple ear infections. The pedi
suggested a low dose daily chewable antibiotic, they were on it for about
3 months, and it worked. The next thing would have been tubes. Our dear
oldest child was adopted and bottle fed abm, just before we got him I was
about to begin breast pumping but found out I was pregnant. After
multiple miscarriages (I have lost count unless I think real hard), the
plan was to put me on steroids. So I didn't want to possibly cause any
uterine stimulation with the breast stimulation. My 2 oldest are 8
months apart and have been blessings. My son finally held his bottle
himself at 14 months. He is 11 now. His bite and teeth are terrible, he
is asking for braces. If I had known then what I know now about the
superiority of human milk and also the action of breastfeeding I would
have nursed him when our daughter was born. (Nobody even suggested it)
We did hold him closely all the time. He says I can still hug him on
holidays and week ends! He's at the age when his mom hugging him becomes
embarrassing.
Didn't mean for this to get so long! Sorry.
