There are very few drugs which are contraindicated during breastfeeding and
that includes seizure medications. There are a lot of new seizure
medications which are new, and for which there is not a lot of information
available, but many of the old medications are still fine. These include
phenytoin (Dilantin), valproic acid (depekane) and carbemazepine (Tegretol).

You mean they are going to put this mother on chronic therapy after 1
seizure? I'd get another opinion.
