600 mg. of ibuprofen 4x day is high; the rheumatologists say 800 is the
maximum 4x day. at that level my ears ring! but don't be surprised; my family
practitioner misdiagnosed my arthritis, refused to refer me to a
rheumatologist, and knew nothing about monitoring for these side effects. it
took a lot of effort on my part to finally see a specialist. i finally left
the family practitioner when she actually shouted at me one day that i was
simply denying what i REALLY had (her diagnosis, not the rheumatologist's). it
gets tedious trying to be well informed about everything!
