This AM on a FM station, the news talked about a research that has been
done on the effects of parents sleeping with their babies.  The research
shows there has been something like 250 deaths under the age of 2 in the
bed with their parents and something like 160 due to babies getting
caught between the mattress and moms breast.  I think this was suppose to
have happened over a two year period of time in the US.  I was busy and
just over heard this so my numbers are not exact.  The news comentator
really impressed families with the extreme danger of sleeping with our
young.
The closing statement, like unrelated to the big news, said their are
less cases of SIDS deaths when sleeping with parents.
Bad news for families who are ambivalent or considering this parenting
choice.
