Dear Judy,

I agree. I am on some other professional listserves and we discuss
companies, products, etc. all the time without this ridiculous game
playing. Being able to compare and learn about new instrumentation,
products, computer programs, etc., from around the country and the world
is one of the most useful aspects of these lists. No one really gets
trashed - pros and cons are honestly presented. Many of the companies
monitor the lists and actually contact (but don't harass, as far as I
know of) people who seem to have had unusual problems with their products
or who need help with the product. I have never heard of anyone being
sued over this. What about free speech?

I don't get the BR***D thing and it annoys me no end. In fact, it makes
me feel very unprofessional, like we are little kids playing a game.
Thanks for bringing it up again. Kathy or Kathy??? Can we just stop
doing this?

Warmly,
Sharon Knorr, BSMT, LLLL, IBCLC in Newark, New York (near Rochester)
