Laurie,
Your comment on how the mother absorbs (or doesn't absorb) information was
balm to my tender heart. I once had a co-worker who used to chastise me
terribly (and I saved the note) when mother's she saw were having problems
the day after I worked with them. Of course she assumed that "I didn't do my
job." And they WERE nursing fine when I saw them, or at least after I helped
them. But sometimes they forget, or relax TOO much and something comes
"disconnected." I post this for the reason that we all need to be supportive
of one another and understand that mothers don't always take it all in at
once.
