Sounds like the pacifier was significant.. Mom's anemia wouldn't affect her milk quality, it would affect mom's energy level, making it easier to pop in the pacifier than pick up and feed the baby again.
And of course, having older children and other responsibilities make it easy to put baby off with a pacifier if that seems to work. it worked to keep baby quiet, but not fed. Pat in SNJ

Really just wondering if there is any info on maternal anemia and low infant weight gain not related to milk quantity, but to milk quality??
