Hi All
After reading the post on the mom with triplets and four other
children, the thought of writing a book with some of these unique or
complicated conditions which work out as it's topic. As I write the
newsletter for our local group - twice a year I mention the
famous/celebrity moms who have nursed and once in while I mention moms
nursing twins, triplets, disabled, or chronically ill children, and in
addition I add moms who are they themselves disabled or chronically ill
who have successfully breastfed. We tend to think that we are the only
ones 'going through' whatever situation and fail to realize that there
are millions out there and many are functioning under worse conditions
than ourselves.
One issue that particularly 'gets' me, is the moms who can't figure out
how moms with more than two children function. I have a hard time biting
my tongue and trying to figure out either how to diplomatically answer
or decide it isn't worth the effort.
This is just MHO and a thought. I love to write (it's obvious, since
I'm so wordy) but not that great at research. But maybe our society
needs a wake up call, that simple childbirth and breastfeeding are not
complicated and that women and children facing situations that are at a
negative extreme are coping just fine, thank you.
