Please keep in mind I said NOTHING about using this, or any other diet, while
lactating.  I haven't lactated for YEARS -- way too old and crotchety for that
-- and I'll respectfully disagree with your assessment of the diet.  Each to
his own -- not all diets fit all people, and there are some for whom lots of
carbs CAUSE weight gain, despite the low fat, etc.  But this is off topic....

Just one more thing to say about this:

The low fat diet is definitely working.  The fat is getting lower every day.

Jan -- who still likes Atkins, and hasn't noticed either her pancreas or her
liver shrinking -- yet.  <VBG>
