Hi All,
Cindy, the answer to your question can be found in: for human milk-
Chpt 4 of Breastfeeding a Guide for the Medical Professional by Ruth
Lawrence MD. Also Jelliffe, D.B. and Jelliffe, E.F.P. in Aug 1971 in the
Am J of Clin Nutri published their syposium - The Uniqueness of Human
Milk, the first chapter being the biochemistry of human milk. Chpt 18 of
the sixth edition of the Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by LLLI is about
human milk compostition.
The only book that I have that has an ingredient list of formula is So
That's What They Are For by Janet Tamaro. Also I would recoommend
looking at Marsha Walker's, A Fresh Look at the Risks of Artificial
Infant Feeding, J Hum Lact 9(2), 1993. And Gabrielle Palmer's The
Politics of Breastfeeding. Both are good resources on formula feeding
risks.
