Here are a few other options:

Taking ibuprofen in prescription doses for 5 days during menstration has been
proven to reduce flow. If mom can predice onset it can be started the day
before menses with even greater results.
Sometimes we control heavy bleeding by using cyclic progesterone for about 10
days of the cycle.

Also a trial of a progesterone only BCP could be used and as a last resort a
lower dose estrogen pill such as ALesse could be used (20 mg daily vs. one
that varies and goes up as high as 40 mg)

Furthermore, I would check thryoid and for anemia as this can can cause or
exacerbate the problem.

I would not be concerned that fenegreek or other galactoguoges would interact
as estrogen and progesterone are always in a womens system altering the
levels with a BCP shouldn't change dynamics.
