Jan,
I don't know if compresses would work. The nice thing about the bath is you
are helping the whole body to reduce edema. I realize moms are not always
able to take a full bath. Even moms who have had a vaginal birth are
sometimes advised not to bathe for 2 weeks. I don't understand this. I would
think water would be beneficial even for moms with surgery. Am I wrong?
I agree we should be cautious about recommending herbs internally. I think
herbal baths are extremely safe. Any other opinions out there?
