I have had a few mothers with multiple sclerosis who breastfed. They did
very well and did not have flareups. One of the reasons that women *seem*
to have flareups is that *pregnancy* decreases the risks of flareups, so
that if symptoms get worse during breastfeeding, it may seem that the mother
is worse.

She should breastfeed for all the usual reasons, as well as some evidence
(weak, true) that breastfeed may decrease the risk of MS in her child.
