Interesting question, Melissa.

I keep going, "On the one hand.... But on the other hand....."

I was thinking that perhaps you could find out how much it would cost to get
that information online eg cost per hour, and if there was a cost over and
above that, is it equivalent to the usual cost of a meal? If so, then
you've paid for it.

Then I thought, if you want to make a stand and refuse something because of
the sponsorship, what else CAN you publically refuse but the lunch? I know
that you weren't getting CERPs out of it, which is a great loss to you, but
most of the delegates would not know/care/understand.

The situation sucks. It sucks because the people like us 'get it', the
companies that are causing it may 'get it', but the vast majority think we
are utter kooks.

I'm glad you went, though, and hope you benefit from the knowledge shared.
