Has anyone heard about this?  The virus was not passed through the milk,
as it sounds, but a result of contact with viral lesions, which could
happen even if not breastfeeding!!  Anyone know the real story of this?
I am sure that if a mother saw lesions on her nipple/areola area, she
would ask if it could affect her infant.
When they did the mass inoculation here last year in preparation for the
Gulf War, they did not inoculate mothers of small children, probably
because of the danger of contact infection.  Most of the younger nurses
were not inoculated.
