What is it with these Marine Life attractions and bottles? Today I took my 3
youngest children to Marine World Africa USA in S.F. Bay Area. By and large, I
believe this is a wonderful wildlife attraction. We were enjoying one of our
favorite exhibits - the Australian Walkabout. This is a large area where
visitors are allowed to walk freely among kangaroos and wallabies. Along the
way there are wooden question plagues with the answer hidden underneath. At
the end of the walk the last question reads :"What is a joey?" Lift the board
and the answer - a cartoon baby 'roo, sucking a huge pink bottle.

I made a fuss, as I am prone to. My kids have grown so use to this, my son
comforted me by saying "That is how they feed them HERE". He was right, seems
lots of Marine World baby animals are hand fed --so they bond with their
trainers, not their mommas. Sigh.
