I think that would really depend on where the incision was made. I had four
biopsies while breastfeeding my last baby, the third one when she was about
2 years old. After that one she nursed immediately after I got home, before
I even got all the way up the stairs. I think my breast was still numb!
She only nursed on the left side and the biopsy was on the left with the
incision about one inch from the edge of the areola. The surgeon wanted to
do an areolar incision but I asked him to avoid that, which he did.

She was an infant during the first two biopsies and she nursed immediately
after as well but those incisions were not near the nipple.
